The Yankees have missed out on one of their outfield trade targets, as the Mariners traded for OF Cameron Maybin a couple hours before the trade deadline.

With Aaron Judge out for another two and a half weeks and several other outfielders injured, the Yankees were among teams interested in Maybin, according to FanCred Sports' Jon Heyman.

Blue Jays outfielder Curtis Granderson was also a potential name for to land back in New York, and that may be the route the Yankees have to go with Maybin off the block. He is hitting .223 with 10 homers and 31 RBI over 86 games with Toronto.

Judge is out with a chip fracture in his right wrist that occurred this past weekend against the Royals. Fellow outfielder Clint Frazier has been dealing with concussion-like symptoms and is on the disabled list, while Jacoby Ellsbury has yet to resume baseball activities from his various ailments.

But the Yankees, who acquired another former Marlins outfielder by the name of Giancarlo Stanton in the offseason, aren't the only team interested in Granderson. According to MLB.com's Jon Morosi, the Phillies are also interested in Granderson.

Should the Yankees acquire Granderson, it would be the second trade they make with the Blue Jays in the past week. They earlier acquired LHP J.A. Happ for infielder Brandon Drury and outfielder Billy McKinney.
