Knicks starters combined for 41 points as they lost their penultimate preseason game to the Washington Wizards 110-98 on Monday at Madison Square Garden. >> Box score

Tim Hardaway Jr. and Frank Ntilikina combined for 28 points, while Alonzo Trier, Trey Burke and Mario Hezonja each scored double digits off the bench.

All five Wizards starters, led by Bradley Beal's 20 points, scored in double figures.

The Knicks, who played without Enes Kanter and Courtney Lee, trailed 52-44 at halftime and 88-69 at the end of the third quarter. They were outrebounded 49-39.
