The Giants won't be benching Eli Manning again... at least not yet.

When Pat Shurmur was asked Friday -- a day after the Giants' crushing 34-13 loss to the Eagles -- if they were considering a change at quarterback, the head coach stated "no."

"We believe in Eli," Shurmur told reporters.

When pressed on if he'd consider playing rookie QB Kyle Lauletta if the season continues to go downhill, Shurmur added: "We're not talking about a quarterback change yet."

The 37-year-old completed 24 of 43 attempts Thursday night, throwing one pick and no touchdowns. Saquon Barkley was the lone bright spot during a game that dropped the Giants to 1-5.

"My confidence in myself is good," Manning said after the loss. "I know I can play."

Last season, then-head coach Ben McAdoo made waves when he announced Manning would be benched for Week 13 in Oakland, with Geno Smith making the start instead. The move snapped Manning's streak of 210 consecutive regular-season game starts, the second-longest in NFL history behind Brett Favre (297). Manning was back starting the following game against the Cowboys.
