With rain in the forecast, the first game of the Yankees' four-game series with the Red Sox has been cancelled, the team announced.

Thursday's game will be made up on Saturday, August 3rd at 7:00 p.m., when the Red Sox are back in the Bronx for a weekend series.

J.A. Happ was scheduled to pitch on Thursday for the Yankees, with Chris Sale going for the Red Sox. Instead, the AL East rivals will start the latest installment of their storied history on Friday night at 7:05 p.m.

Happ's start will get pushed back to Friday, with Domingo German and CC Sabathia to follow.
