Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius could be placed on the disabled list following a collision with Blue Jays first baseman Kendrys Morales, manager Aaron Boone told reporters after the game.
Gregorius suffered "a pretty bad bruise on his heel" after colliding with Morales while beating out a grounder for an infield single. He left the game following the second inning and was replaced by Ronald Torreyes.
"Not great there, but we'll just kind of see where we are tomorrow," Boone said, according to NJ Advance Media's Brendan Kuty, of Gregorius, who was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital for tests.
Gregorius, 28, is hitting .270 with 22 home runs and 74 RBIs, but has a .286/.350/.505 batting line with five homers and 21 RBIs since the All-Star break.
