Mets C Devin Mesoraco passed concussion protocol after leaving Tuesday night's game against the Blue Jays, reports Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.

Mesoraco left the game in the bottom of the seventh after he was struck in the head by a backswing. He was replaced by Kevin Plawecki, who caught the rest of the game.

The Mets will monitor Mesoraco closely throughout the week.

The 30-year-old veteran is hitting .224 with six home runs and 16 RBI in 35 games with the Mets this season.
