Knicks center Mitchell Robinson is in the NBA concussion protocol and will not play the next two games, the team announced.

Robinson suffered the concussion on Nov. 6 against the Detroit Pistons, and missed the team's following game against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Knicks play the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Sunday, and then travel to Chicago to play the Bulls on Tuesday night.

With Robinson out, Knicks head coach David Fizdale decided to start veteran big man Taj Gibson against the Mavs on Friday night. Forward Bobby Portis also saw significant time with Robinson out.

In his second season, Robinson has played in seven games and is averaging 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game in 17.6 minutes of action.
