Knicks rookie Mitchell Robinson (ankle) will miss Friday night's preseason game, head coach David Fizdale said, adding that Robinson is day-to-day.
Robinson had to be helped off the court on Wednesday night after spraining his right ankle during the second half of the game against the Nets. He did not return.
The injury happened when Robinson stepped on Rodions Kurucs' foot.
After the game, Robinson called the injury "just a little tweak," according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, with Fizdale saying "I don't think it's terribly bad, but I think he's got a pretty good sprain."
Robinson had two points, two rebounds, and two blocks in 10 minutes before suffering the injury.
The 20-year-old should have a strong chance to make the Knicks' opening night roster if his health allows it.
