CAA's Austin Brown is among those being given internal consideration for the Knicks' presidency opening after the ouster of Steve Mills, SNY's Ian Begley reports.

Brown's current clients include Zion Williamson, Kyle Kuzma, and Jaren Jackson Jr.

In addition to Brown, the Knicks have been connected to Raptors president Masai Ujiri, with Begley reporting that the 49-year-old is expected to be at the top of the list to replace Mills. With Ujiri under contract in Toronto, the Knicks would have to compensate the Raptors in order to hire him away.

Meanwhile, Begley has also reported that Roger Montgomery is another agent among the group of representatives under internal consideration for New York's team presidency position, per SNY sources.

Both the Warriors and Lakers have recently hired former agents to prominent executive roles.

The Warriors hired Bob Myers away from Wasserman Media Group to be their president of basketball operations, and the Lakers hired Rob Pelinka away from SFX Management to become their GM.

The trend of agents-turned-front office execs isn't limited to the NBA, though.

Prior to the 2019 MLB season, the Mets hired CAA's Brodie Van Wagenen as GM.
