After the Giants listed Zak DeOssie in Thursday's injury report with knee and wrist issues, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network subsequently reported that the long snapper is expected to be placed on Injured Reserve.
Tight ends Evan Engram (foot) and Rhett Ellison (concussion), safety Jabrill Peppers (back), wide receiver Golden Tate (concussion) and DeOssie did not practice Thursday morning.
If the Giants do in fact place DeOssie on Injured Reserve, the season-ending move could mark the end of the veteran long snapper's career with Big Blue.
DeOssie, 35, is set to hit free agency after he signed his one-year deal worth $1.2 million for the 2019 season.
He has spent all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Giants, who selected him at No. 116 overall in the 2007 draft's fourth round.
Along with 16th-year quarterback Eli Manning, whose time could also be up after he sees his contract expire after the season, DeOssie is a longtime captain one of the Giants' last players from the past two Super Bowl teams -- XLII (Feb. 3, 2008) and XLVI (Feb. 5, 2012) -- that beat the New England Patriots.
