It has been 22 years since the Yankees hosted the Mets in the first-ever regular season game between the crosstown rivals. The two teams have played 118 games since then (not including the 2000 World Series), with the Yankees leading the all-time series 69 to 49.

May 20, 2006: Yankees rally against Wagner at Shea

On a Saturday afternoon at Shea Stadium, the Mets appeared poised for victory when they handed the ball to closer Billy Wagner with a four-run lead. But Wagner imploded, walking three, hitting a batter, and allowing two hits as the Yanks erased the deficit. They eventually won in 11 innings.

Aug. 16, 2017: Judge blasts 457-foot homer at Citi

After putting on a show during batting practice, the Yankees rookie smoked an offering from Mets reliever Robert Gsellman 457 feet to left field -- landing in a spot that is almost never reached. The ball had an exit velocity of 117 MPH.=

July 8, 2000: Gooden returns to Shea as Yanks sweep two-stadium doubleheader

In the first game of what was a day/night doubleheader that began at Shea Stadium and ended at Yankee Stadium, Gooden went back to his old stomping grounds and excelled, allowing just two hits in 5.0 sharp innings as the Yanks won, 4-2. Gooden's performance was overshadowed in the nightcap when Roger Clemens beaned Mike Piazza in the head.

June 5, 1999: El Duque throws glove to first base

With the Mets up 1-0 in the top of the second and a man on third base, Hernandez got Rey Ordonez to ground back to the mound. The ball got stuck in Hernandez' glove and he did the only thing he could -- tossed the entire glove to Tino Martinez at first base.

June 28, 2009: Mo gets save No. 500

Roughly four months before winning his final title with the Yankees, Mariano Rivera notched his 500th career save.
