Reading into Yankees manager Aaron Boone's latest comments, it sounds like Dellin Betances won't be in a Yankee uniform in 2020.

Boone spoke Wednesday about his team's bullpen, and it didn't sound like he believed a big move, like bringing Betances back, was coming.

"We're really confident and...[with] a lot of the pitchers we have a lot of the depth, we have a lot of people that are still coming up through and [can be] ready to potentially make an impact on our roster," Boone told The Daily News' Kristie Ackert.

GM Brian Cashman already made his big bullpen move early this offseason, signing closer Aroldis Chapman to a new extension. He may still make a move in the end, but Boone is confident in the group the Yankees currently have.

"I do feel like if we rolled in with where we're at right now, we have a deep stable of guys that are capable of getting important outs," he said.

Betances pitched in only one game for the Yanks last season, as he deal with a lat injury all season just to come back and tear his Achilles in his first appearance against the Blue Jays. In that game, though, he strike out both batters he faced with his regular dominating stuff on the mound.

A team will certainly go after him -- the Mets, Dodgers, and Twins are among them thus far -- but the Yankees will likely take a backseat and let them vie for his services. They landed their big fish in Gerrit Cole, and if Cashman really wants to fix up the bullpen a bit, he may find a cheaper option.

The Yankees have been linked to a potential trade with the Royals for submarine lefty Tim Hill, and Blake Treinen is another name out there. But the expectation is Betances won't be in pinstripes next season, and Boone might have clarified that.
