The Yankees have had some rocky moments from their pitching staff this season, but manager Aaron Boone thinks the team has plenty in the tank to win it all.

The Bronx Bombers notably didn't add any arms to the rotation during the recent trade deadline, but speaking to WFAN on Thursday prior to Thursday night's game against the A's, Boone said things are more than fine on the mound for his team. Including players that could return from injury, the Yankees have a World Series worthy staff, according to Boone.

"Oh yeah, we have enough to be the best team in the world," Boone said.

"It's obviously a difficult road to get there," Boone said. "But especially if we get what we think is a couple of significant pieces back, not only to our rotation, but our bullpen by the end of the year, hopefully contributing in the postseason. ... We might have to do it in a different kind of way, in a unique way, or it could end up being a more traditional way of doing it. But we'll go into a postseason series, hopefully, with a pitching staff capable of, on a nightly basis getting really high-leverage, 27 outs, and that's the goal."

The potential new additions from the injured list could include right-handers Luis Severino and Dellin Betances. The skipper indicated both should be back before the postseason.

"We're optimistic we'll get them back in plenty of time," Boone said.

When it comes to handlng the staff in "unique way" during playoff games this year, Boone could be referring to using an opener. The Yankees have done so with Chad Green at times this season.
