The Mets have shocked everyone with their recent string of wins. Everyone except the guy on their own hot corner.

New York is now 19-6 since the All-Star break and have won 13 of their last 14 games. They're currently riding a six-game winning streak.

Mets third baseman Todd Frazier said he's not shocked about the turnaround, though. In fact, he expected it.

"I did [expect it]," Frazier told WFAN on Wednesday morning. "I think everybody in this clubhouse did, to be honest with you."

Frazier said it wasn't because of anything the team was physically doing. Instead the nine-year MLB vet said there has just been a different feeling in the locker room this year.

"I've been on teams before where you come to the ballpark and it's, 'Ah, you don't really want to be there.' But everybody has wanted to be here," Frazier said.

Frazier's certainly played his part, too. Recently he had a three-hit, three RBI performance versus the Pirates, notched the game-winning run on July 31 against the White Sox and he hit safety and scored a run in six-straight games from July 25-31.

As a team, the Mets have surged at the plate as of late, but Frazier tipped his cap to the pitching staff for making that possible.

"The pitching makes it easier for us to be calm at the plate," Frazier said. "We've just been playing team baseball."

The Mets won their Wednesday meeting the Marlins, 7-2, completing a four-game sweep of their National League East rivals. New York will get back after it on Friday in another big NL East meeting, this time with the Nationals at Citi Field.
