On top of all the other accolade for his send off, David Wright now has his own day as proclaimed by the mayor of New Yor City.
Bill de Blasio took to Twitter for his proclamation, making Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 "David Wright Day" in New York City.

What's likely to be an emotional day, Wright makes his return to the Mets starting lineup for the first time since 2016. On Friday night he made his first at-bat in over two years, grounding out on the first pitch he saw.
