The Mets hit three home runs and RHP Zack Wheeler did his part on Tuesday night, allowing just two runs in 6 2/3 innings, but the bullpen imploded in an 8-6 loss to the Blue Jays.

Things you should know about tonight's game...
1) Asdrubal Cabrera and Devin Mesoraco hit two-run homers early on to build up an early lead for the Mets. Wilmer Flores hit a solo home run to extend his hitting streak, and Jose Bautista, playing his first game in Toronto since leaving the Blue Jays, got on base four times. He went 1-for-2 with a single and made a diving catch in the second inning. In the seventh, he was charged with an error after he botched a play on Randal Grichuk's single.
2) Wheeler kept Tornoto hitless until the fourth inning and otherwise worked around three hits and three walks to limit the Blue Jays to two runs. Former Met Curtis Granderson hit an RBI double in the fifth and Wheeler was charged with another run in the seventh before the Blue Jays pounced on the Mets' bullpen.
3) Anthony Swarzak, Robert Gsellman, and Tim Peterson combined to allow six runs in less than two innings to blow the Mets' lead. Yangervis Solarte tied the game with a three-run homer in the seventh and Loudes Gurriel Jr. gave the Blue Jays the lead with a two-run homer in the eighth.
