Knicks rookie forward Kevin Knox took a step toward his return from a sprained ankle by putting up shots after practice on Thursday, according to the New York Post's Peter Botte.

Knox, according to The Athletic's Mike Vorkunov, practiced with Noah Vonleh and assistant coach Jud Buechler, but will be reevaluated next week from an ankle injury he suffered last Saturday against the Celtics.

Head coach David Fizdale said earlier in the week he would be pleased if Knox only missed two weeks after he turned his left ankle in Saturday's loss to Boston.

The 19-year-old Knox scored 10 points in his NBA debut and 17 points against Brooklyn on Oct. 19. He scored one point in four minutes before leaving against Boston.
