The Knicks are among the teams that have contacted veteran forward Amir Johnson, reports Ian Begley of ESPN.
Johnson has also drawn interest from the LA Lakers and Clippers, reports Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer.
Johnson, 31, averaged 4.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in 74 games with the 76ers this past season. He has also played with the Pistons, Rapters, and Celtics.
The Knicks also are interested in Mario Hezonja, who has reportedly met with the team. Luke Kornet was re-signed and the Knicks have "strong interest" in re-signing Isaiah Hicks, according to Begley.
The Knicks are informing players that they would prefer to sign one-year contracts this off-season.
