NBA draft prospect Trae Young said he got "a good feel and vibe" with the Knicks when he met coach David Fizdale and members of the team's front office.
"For sure, I definitely enjoyed meeting him as well," Young said on Sirius XM's Mad Dog Sports Channel with Adam Schein on Tuesday. "It was great to meet coach Fizdale and going out to dinner to meet the whole front office."
The Knicks have the ninth overall pick in Thursday's NBA Draft.
"[The Knicks] are very interested in me as well, but you never know what's going to happen on Thursday night," Young said. "I know this city and these fans want to get this team rolling again."
Young also added that he is working to improve his body this off-season in preparation for the NBA.
"Something I'm taking a lot of pride in this off-season is getting my body right, being able to take bumps and hits for 82 games and perform at a high level," he said. "A lot of protein shakes, eating as much as I can and resting my body, taking care of my body."
In 32 games with Oklahoma in 2017-18, Young averaged 27.4 points, 8.7 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game.
