Former Knicks Robinson, Stoudemire play in BIG3 for Tri-State

Former Knicks Nate Robinson and Amar'e Stoudemire aim for a top-three finish in the BIG3.

Alongside teammate Jermaine O'Neal and with coach Julius Erving, Tri-State will play the 3-Headed Monsters on Friday at 6 p.m. at Barclays Center in the BIG3 third-place game.

Tri-State also features David Hawkins, Robert Hite and Bonzi Wells, while the 3-Headed Monsters boast Rashard Lewis, Reggie Evans, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Jamario Moon and Kwame Brown, among others, and are coached by Gary Payton.

Tri-State lost to Power in the semifinals last weekend. Power faces 3's Company in the championship at 8 p.m.

Tri-State finished 5-3 in the regular season, while the 3-Headed Monsters finished 7-1. When the two teams met in Week 4 on July 13, Tri-State lost 50-48.
