The Jets are a "big suitor" for free agent WR Adam Humphries, reports Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, who says Humphries could get paid between $9 million and $10 million per year.
Stroud notes that the Buccaneers are "bracing to lose" Humphries and/or LB Kwon Alexander -- another free agent of interest to the Jets.
Though GM Mike Maccagnan checked in, the Jets recently passed on trading for WR Antonio Brown, who was acquired by the Raiders in exchange for a third and fifth-round pick.
While the Jets are said to be happy with their receiving corps, they still lack a true No. 1 receiver. Humphries isn't that, but he would give the Jets another strong receiving option.
The 25-year-old Humphries had the best season of his four-year career in 2018, reeling in 76 catches for 816 yards with five touchdowns.
