After John Tavares announced he was signing with the Maple Leafs, the Islanders signed former Toronto forward Leo Komarov to a four-year, $12 million deal, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Komarov, 31, scored seven goals and 12 assists in 74 games with Toronto last season.
A former sixth-round pick, Komarov has totaled 52 goals and 70 assists in 327 games since debuting in the 2012-13 season.
Komarov will earn $4 million in the first year of his contract, $3.5 million in Year 2, $2.5 million in Year 3 and $2 million in the final year of his deal.
