The Giants will roundup their 2019 season against the Eagles in Week 17 and will have a chance to play spoiler and little more in this one, while their NFC East rivals need a win to crack the postseason.
With plenty on the line for the Eagles, they're also reportedly getting some reinforcements back in time to face the Giants in the final week of the regular season.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, running back Jordan Howard will play in Week 17 against the Giants.
In a corresponding move, the Eagles will reportedly release running back Jay Ajayi.
Howard has missed the Eagles' last five games due to a neck injury.
Without Howard, the Eagles have leaned on rookie Miles Sanders. In Week 14 against the Giants, Sanders only mustered 45 rushing yards on 15 carries, a 3.0 yards per carry average. Howard missed that outing, but is averaging 4.4 yards per carry in nine games this year while Sanders sits at a 4.5 average.
