If the Giants are ready to move on from Eli Manning and draft a quarterback in this year's NFL draft, then Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins certainly would seem to have caught their eye on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old completed 25 of 37 passes for 251 yards and three touchdown passes -- all in the first half -- in a 28-23 win over Washington and their No. 12-ranked defense in the Rose Bowl and earning Offensive MVP in the game.

Haskins, who was third in the Heisman Trophy voting, caps his season with 4,831 yards and 50 touchdown passes -- making him just the sixth player in FBS history to accomplish the latter.

He is just the second quarterback in a Power Five conference to reach the mark, the other being Oklahoma's Sam Bradford in 2008, and first player to do so since Derek Carr did it in 2013.

Haskins, however, has not yet declared for the NFL draft, which he must do by the Jan. 15 deadline, but said he was "50/50" following the Rose Bowl.

If he decides to declare he could be the top quarterback in this year's draft class and fall to the Giants with the No. 6 pick.

The five teams picking before the Giants -- the Cardinals, 49ers, Jets, Raiders and Buccaneers -- all appear to be set at the quarterback position unless they were to make a trade with a more quarterback-needy team.

Haskins, a New Jersey native, has previously said that it would "be pretty nice" if he could play for the Giants in his home state.

His performance in the Rose Bowl certainly helped his stock and could make that become a possibility.
