Giants RB Saquon Barkley has a lot of expectations on his shoulders.
Barkley is the favorite to win Rookie of the Year, he's expected to help lead the Giants back to the playoffs, extend Eli Manning's career and almost single-handily rescue a Giants rushing attack that finished 26th in the league in rushing yards.
As such, EA Sports Madden '19 has released their top rookie ratings and predictably has Barkley in the top five, though surprisingly not number one. He's second with an 82 rating, trailing only Colts G Quenton Nelson (83). He is ahead of Browns QB and No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield (81). Bears LB Roquan Smith (81) and Broncos DE Bradley Chubb (80) round out the rookie top five.
For reference, here are some of last year's Giants Madden rankings: Odell Beckham Jr. (93), Damon Harrison (92), Landon Collins (91), Janoris Jenkins (86), Olivier Vernon (85) and Manning (77).
The running backs were: Orleans Darkwa (80), Shane Vereen (77), Wayne Gallman Jr. (75).
