First baseman Luke Voit was among the numerous members of the Yankees that ended up on the injured list in 2019.

A core issue caused Voit to miss time twice last season, and it required surgery to repair back in October.

Since that surgery, he's never felt better.

"I have never felt any better in my life," Voit told The Post. "I feel faster, more agile and my strength is back."

Despite playing injured, Voit slashed .263/.378/.464 with 21 home runs in 118 games last season. In his first season in pinstripes in 2018, Voit hit an impressive .333/.405/.689 in 39 games after being traded to New York from the Cardinals.

But Voit knows he still has to earn his games played this upcoming season despite feeling like he's in such good shape. He is the frontrunner at first base, but there's also Mike Ford and even Miguel Andujar competing for playing time at the position as well.

Voit reflected that competition in the Yankees' deep lineup with his analysis of his team's roster as it currently sits.

"One of the best teams in baseball. It's an elite team, elite starting pitching and an elite lineup," Voit said.
