The Rangers were within one after two periods, but they couldn't find the net again in a 4-1 home loss Thursday to Minnesota. Adam McQuaid, who likely will be traded before Monday's deadline, was pulled in the first period and didn't return for "precautionary" reasons. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 30 of 33 shots. >> Box score
