Lundqvist said that under Quinn the Rangers will have new thinking, a new way to play, a new atmosphere in the locker room and an opportunity to continue developing. (SVT)

Jeff Gorton said on the NHL Network recently that Lundqvist has been "great" with everything the Rangers have announced and done so far in terms of the rebuild. (NHL Network)

Gorton added that Lundqvist is someone that believes the Rangers are 'better" than what people think and that "if the rest of our players take a cue from him with how he competes on the ice and in practice, how bad he wants to win and rubs off on everyone else, then it will take a lot less time than we think it will. Rangers coach David Quinn met with Lundqvist for more than three hours during his trip to Sweden and said that Henrik is as "competitive and in as good of shape as he's ever been." (NHL.com)
