The St. Lucie Mets announced their field staff for the upcoming 2020 season, most notably adding Endy Chavez as their bench coach.

Chavez, who played 13 years in the MLB and three with the Mets, will become the first bench coach for St. Lucie. He most recently served as a coach with the Class A-short season Brooklyn Cyclones last season.

St. Lucie also added another newcomer to its staff in Royce Ring, who will be the team's new pitching coach.

Ring played in the majors from 2005-2010 before moving on to coaching. The former Met has been a coach in the team's farm system since the 2014-2015 season, starting out as the pitching coach for the GCL Mets.

After spending a season in Kingsport, Ring spent two seasons with the Cyclones before finding himself with the Low-A Columbia Fireflies last year.

Chad Kreuter will be field manager for St. Lucie for the fourth year in a row.

Kreuter, who has developed the likes of current Mets All-Stars Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil with St. Lucie, becomes the first manager in team history to work a fourth straight season.

St. Lucie is 185-217 under Kreuter so far, including a 68-66 mark last season -- their best record since 2016.
