If you've been following the Mets this year, you know that they've become highly reluctant to publicize estimated timetables on when injured players will return.
That said, we hear that Jeff McNeil, eligible to come off the injured list Aug. 24, might need to play in minor league rebab games before he returns. The team has not yet determined a schedule for those games, but it seems they could push back his return just a bit.
Still, the news on McNeil has been positive since an MRI revealed that his hamstring strain was "mild."
The expectation is still that he won't miss significant time.
