Matt Harvey has found a new team.

According to a report from MLB Network's Jon Heyman, the right-hander is joining the Athletics on a minor-league deal.

The former Met was designated for assignment by the Angels on July 19, and after going unclaimed on waivers, became a free agent.

Harvey struggled mightily for the Angels this season, posting a 7.09 ERA. In 59.2 innings, Harvey allowed 47 earned runs. He struck out just 39 hitters while walking 29 batters.

In six seasons with the Mets, Harvey pitched to a 3.43 ERA with a 34-37 record. An All-Star with the Mets in 2013, Harvey will reunite with former Mets GM Sandy Alderson in Oakland, who now serves as a senior adviser in Oakland.
