With the 2020 MLB Draft being only five rounds instead of the usual 40, there are roughly 1,000 prospects who would've gotten drafted under the new rules who were left looking for teams.

For all players who sign as undrafted free agents, the bonus limit per player is $20,000

It should be expected that many college seniors and college juniors will sign. It's not out of the question that some younger college players and/or high school players will sign, but the bulk of the signees will likely be older college players due to the fact that their options are limited.

Here are the players the Mets have signed so far...

RHP Kody Davidson, signed June 18

The University of Tennessee announced that right-handed pitcher Kody Davidson has signed with the Mets.

The 5-foot-9 junior from South Fulton, Tenn. pitched 5.1 innings this season prior to the coronavirus pandemic stopping play, striking out eight and allowing just three hits.

Prior to his time at Tennessee, the righty also pitched at Walters State Community College and Dyersburg State College.

RHP Austin Faith, signed June 16

Lamar University announced that the 6-foot-6, 200-pound right-hander has signed with the Mets.

Faith becomes the third right-handed pitcher added by the Mets in this year's class of undrafted free agents.

The junior made just three appearances with the Cardinals this season due to play being stopped by the coronavirus pandemic. Prior to this season, Faith pitched for Navarro Junior College, where he had a 15-4 record in 28 career starts with a 3.84 ERA and 143 strikeouts in 138.1 innings.

RHP Dylan Hall, signed June 15

The University of Central Oklahoma product agreed to a deal with the Mets, the school announced.

Hall struck out 45 batters in 30 innings this season after striking out 123 batters in 106.1 innings in 2019 during what was his first season with UCO.

OF Joe Suozzi, signed June 15

Suozzi, who grew up near Flushing and attended Chaminade High School on Long Island, made the Boston College baseball team as a walk-on during his sophomore season.

He hit .282/.363/.423 with three homers and eight doubles in 48 games as a junior, and hit .414 with one homer, four doubles, three triples in 15 games during his senior season before it was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.

RHP Drake Nightengale, signed June 15

South Alabama RHP Drake Nightengale announced his signing on Twitter.

"Thankful for this Opportunity to join the New York Mets Organization," Nightengale wrote. "It's a Dream Come True, I would like to thank my Agent James O. Covington for getting this deal done for me, as well as my coaches at South Alabama, Pearl River Community College, & Sumrall High School."

OF Brandon McIlwain, signed June 15

McIlwain, who graduated in May from The University of California, announced via Twitter that he had signed with the Mets.

"I'm excited to be starting my pro baseball career with the New York Mets! #LGM #Blessed," McIlwain wrote.

McIlwain is a two-sport star who played quarterback at The University of South Carolina in 2016 and at Cal in 2018.

He was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 26th round of the 2019 MLB Draft but opted to return to Cal for his senior season.

While playing QB for Cal during his sophomore season, McIlwain appeared in 10 games (two starts) while completing 80 of 129 passes (62 percent) for 763 yards with two touchdowns and eight interceptions.

McIlwain stopped playing football before this season to focus solely on baseball.
