The Knicks have signed C Luke Kornet, the team announced on Friday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the New York Post had reported that Kornet agreed to a one-year deal.

"Luke had a very successful first year playing across Westchester and the Knicks, displaying impressive growth throughout the season," GM Scott Perry said. "Luke is a versatile player who can play inside and away from the basket. He brings a relentless work ethic and commitment to the team that fits with Coach Fizdale's system and style."

Kornet went undrafted in the 2017 draft and joined the Knicks during Summer League on a two-way contract. He made his NBA debut on February 8, 2018.

Kornet said he worked out with Coach David Fizdale recently and received advice about how to improve.

"He wants everyone to be able to drive and finish," Kornet told the New York Post. "It's something I've worked a on a lot - being able to finish better. My 3-point shooting is the center of my offensive game, and I want to be great at that. But the finishing aspect would really take me to the next level."

Kornet averaged 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in his first taste of the NBA.
