Count Ray Allen among those who think LeBron James should take his talents to Madison Square Garden.
"Even before he chose to go to Miami, I thought, you know we call him the king, and the best place for the king is in Gotham City," Allen said Wednesday on WFAN during an appearance on the Boomer and Gio show. "I always felt that New York City was the best place, because when the NBA is at its best is when the Knicks are great."
James, who is expected to opt out of his deal with the Cavaliers on Friday and become a free agent, does not want elaborate pitches from interested teams this time around.
Along with Allen, former NBA player Kenyon Martin and Knicks-killer Reggie Miller think James belongs with the Knicks. And both of them predicted it's where James will end up.
Back on Planet Earth, most NBA insiders feel James will wind up with the Lakers, Rockets, Clippers, 76ers, or back with the Cavs.
