Charles Oakley continues to rip the Knicks.

Oakley recently had his lawsuit against Madison Square Garden settled last month, but that's not stopping him from ripping his former team.

The former Knick appeared on the "Knicks Fan TV" podcast on Wednesday and took his time out to say the Knicks should stay away from Jeff Van Gundy and Patrick Ewing in their head coaching search, while also saying the Knicks are "years" away.

"It's not just [owner James Dolan]. They don't have talent anymore," said Oakley.

Oakley added that Van Gundy, who has not coached in the NBA since 2007, is too old school for this young Knicks team.

"With these guys, a Jeff-type coach?,'' Oakley said. "If I know Jeff correctly - and I played for him and know how he coached - I think it would be tough to come back and coach young guys," Oakley said. "What he believes in for his offense and defense in this day and age, it's totally different.''

Ewing, who currently is the head coach of Georgetown's men's basketball program, is not the right guy either, according to Oakley.

"I don't deal with Patrick,'' Oakley said. "He was one of the most difficult guys I've played with. I played with Patrick 10 years. He should know me. I should know him. It was a hard 10 years because he's not easy to play with. High maintenance.''

Oakley doesn't see anything changing in New York any time soon either.

"It's going to take years," said Oakley. "It's like driving from New York to Texas. It's a long road."
