If the Knicks are unable to sign Kyrie Irving and need to move to a contingency plan, perhaps they should look at restricted free agent Terry Rozier.
The 25-year-old point guard, who has emerged as a key figure on the Celtics over the last two seasons, has shown he is capable of being a starting point guard in the league when filling in for an injured Irving.
While the Knicks have not yet been heavily linked to Rozier, he was still asked about envisioning playing in New York during an apperance on "Jalen and Jacoby" earlier this week.
"I definitely can," he said. "This is a great organization. Everybody knows about the New York Knicks, the sports market, the city of New York. It'd be great."
Rozier averaged nine points, 2.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds over 22.7 minutes per game this season, which were slightly down from last season but still robust serving in primarily a backup role to Irving.
He did, however, struggle in the playoffs -- shooting just 32.2 percent a year after he burst onto the scene in the postseason, when he avereaged 16.5 points, 5.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game in 19 games as the Celtics starting point guard.

As a restricted free agent, Boston can match any offer sheet Rozier receives from an outside team but the point guard sounds as if he is ready for a new chapter.
"Just looking for a team that's going to let me be myself, a team that treats me like family and just go from there," he said. "I'm not a hard person to work with. I'm a team-first type of guy. Whoever I decide to make that decision with it's going to be great."
