The Mets reliniquished their lead in the top of the seventh, but they took it right back that inning thanks to Carlos Gomez.

Steven Matz pitched out of a two-on, one-out jam with a 1-4-3 double play in the first, and in the second he got Yan Gomes to ground into a 5-4-3 double play with a runner on third to end another Nationals scoring threat.
