Trade talks for Knicks center Enes Kanter continue to gain traction.
On Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Knicks and Kings have been engaged in talks that would exchange Kanter for Zach Randolph, but nothing is close yet.
Kanter and Randolph -- the latter of which has not played this season -- both have expiring contracts and the Kings reportedly are looking to deal more expiring contracts and a third team could potentially get involved.
Randolph, 37, is due $11.6 million this season while Kanter, 26, is owed $18.6 million.
Kanter has grown unhappy with his diminished role on the Knicks as head coach David Fizdale continues to give more minutes to a younger lineup.
While the center has not demanded a trade, there has been interest around the league in Kanter.
Randolph, however, is in the same situation as Kanter in Sacramento. The 6-foot-9 veteran has not appeared in a single game this year as the Kings work in a younger rotation.
Randolph played for the Knicks during the 2007-08 season and 11 games in the 2008-09 season before he was traded to the Clippers for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas.
