Looks like Jets S Jamal Adams didn't have to talk about the bad officiating against the Packers after all. The NFL owned up their mistake instead.

On Friday, NFL Senior Vice President of Offciating Al Riveron broke down some questionable calls from Week 16 in the league. And the Jets made the cut with Adams' defensive pass interference call on 1st and goal in the fourth quarter. Draped all over TE Jimmy Graham, Adams batted down a pass in the endzone that looked to be legal with both players making contact with one another. The official thought otherwise.

But Riveron admitted to the mistake of throwing the yellow hanky, and explained why.

"We want to talk about defensive pass interference," Riverson began. "This was called, unfortunately. This is not a foul for defensive pass interference. We see both players making contact with each other. There is no restriction on either side. The defense comes over the top, but, again, does not materially affect the receiver going up for the ball. This is not a foul for defensive pass interference."

The Packers would go on to score and converted a two-point conversion following another questionable call that allowed Green Bay to re-do the play as well.

Adams, who has been referencing the call on him all week without directly bashing the refs, made an emoji response to the video wtih Riveron's explanation.

Luckily, Adams didn't say anything about the officiating crew directly because the NFL dished out over $100,000 worth of fines to the Jets, including head coach Todd Bowles who ripped the refs in his postgame press conference.
