In all likelihood, bigger paydays will one day occur for both Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez.

But for now, they'll have to settle for the modest raises they each received from the Yankees heading into the 2019 season, which will be the final year before they both become eligible for arbitration and stand in line to earn much more.

The Yankees bumped Judge's salary by $62,000, according to the Associated Press, meaning the 26-year-old will make $684,300 this year. Sanchez received a slightly smaller raise of $49,400. The backstop will take home $669,800 in 2019.

And they were not the only Yankees to receive raises. Gleyber Torres is set to make $605,200 after making the league-minimum $545,000 during his rookie season in 2018. Miguel Andujar received the biggest hike among starters, though. The third baseman went from being salaried at $800 above the league minimum to $617,600.

That might seem like quite the bargain for this group of young talent, but it won't last much longer with Sanchez and Judge heading toward arbitration by this time next year, although the precedent for extensions and buying out arbitration years was set by Luis Severino's new deal from this offseason.
