Mets No. 2 prospect Peter Alonso had himself a day for triple-A Las Vegas, hitting three home runs driving in seven runs in the 51s 14-11 win over the Reno Aces.
Between double-A and triple-A this season, Alonso is hitting .316/.439/.587 with 18 home runs and 63 RBI.
"I've never had a three-home run game in my life so this is really cool," Alonso said, via Review-Journal.

Alonso, 23, is viewed as one of the Mets' best prospects and a Top 100 prospect in all of baseball.
"I think he's got enough power, he's going to hit a lot of home runs all over the field," 51s manager Tony DeFrancesco said. "It's good to see him stay on the ball a little bit longer. He's got his first homer out of the way. You can see the confidence come. I think he was very disappointed in his defense and he made some adjustments at the plate to try to make up for it."
