The Knicks have waived guard Lamar Peters, along with forwards VJ King and Kenny Wooten, the team announced on Saturday. All three players were signed prior to the start of training camp as undrafted free agents after playing for the Knicks during Summer League.
None of the three players appeared in any of the Knicks' four preseason games. Wooten was dealing with a sprained left ankle for the majority of the preseason, while King and Peters were listed as healthy, but did not see the floor.
SNY's Ian Begley reported in September that they had likely agreed to Exhibit 10 contracts, which would give the players a financial incentive to sign with Westchester should they be waived.
The Knicks wrapped up their preseason schedule on Friday with a 117-116 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, finishing with a 1-3 record. They'll play three games in four days to begin the regular season, traveling to San Antonio and Brooklyn before their home opener against the Boston Celtics on Oct. 26.
