Things to know about Friday's game

1) Since joining the starting five, Mudiay has been excelling in the role as the Knicks' point guard. Tonight, he was 10-for-20 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free throw line for a season-high 26 points -- four shy of his career-high 30. He also had seven boards, two assists, and a team-high four steals as well.

2) Playing 34 minutes off the bench, Trier went off yet again to top his career-high by one point, going 9-for-12 from the field including all three of his shots from beyond the arc falling. He hauled in eight rebounds and dished out four assists as well. Trier continues to impress, and it's earning him more minutes.

3) Enes Kanter and Tim Hardaway Jr. each managed their own double-doubles tonight. Kanter, getting another start at center, had 17 points on an efficient 7-of-12 from the field with 13 rebounds to lead the team in that category. Normally the team's best scorer, Hardaway did more behind the scenes tonight with 14 points and 11 rebounds to go along with five assists, two blocks, and two steals.

4) Despite Anthony Davis dropping 33 points, the Knicks were able to hang on. Jrue Holiday had 22 points, and Nikola Mirotic managed to drop 19 as well. But the only Pelicans bench player that managed double-digit points was Julius Randle, who had 13.

5) The Knicks captured the first win streak of the season, winning back-to-back games.
