The Mets (83-75, 5.5 GB for second Wild Card) wrap up their four-game series with the Marlins (55-103) at Citi Field on Thursday at 7:10 p.m. on SNY.

Mets Notes

The Mets were eliminated from playoff contention on Wednesday night after the Milwaukee Brewers clinched the second Wild Card. The team still went on to beat the Marlins 10-3 as Jacob deGrom was dominant in his final start of the season. The potential Cy Young Award winner threw seven scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and one walk. He ends the season with 23-straight scoreless innings pitched and 255 total strikeouts. Pete Alonso hit his 51st home run of the season, as the first baseman is one homer shy of tying the rookie home run record held by the Yankees' Aaron Judge. Prior to Thursday's game against the Marlins, the team activated Dom Smith from the 60-Day IL and announced Jeff McNeil will need surgery for his fractured wrist that he suffered in Wednesday's game.
