The Yankees continued to flex their muscles at Camden Yards on Monday with five more home runs in a record-setting day en route to a 9-6 victory over the Orioles. >> Box Score

Five takeaways from Monday's game

1) The Yankees have 32 home runs in eight games at Camden Yards this season -- a new MLB record for road home runs against a single team. The biggest home run was Mike Ford's go-ahead blast in the eighth to put the Yankees up 7-6. 

2) Masahiro Tanaka was not sharp again on Monday night. The Yankees right-hander allowed 10 hits, including eight extra-base hits, and walked two as he allowed five runs over 5.1 innings pitched. He limited the damage the first five innings, holding the Orioles to one run, but Tanaka unraveled in the sixth inning, allowing four runs on four hits before he was lifted in favor of Tommy Kahnle, who allowed an inherited runner to score on a game-tying home run to Jonathan Villar. 

3) Mike Tauchman blasted two of those five home runs, including the record-setting shot to the opposite field in the sixth and a two-run scorcher in the eighth to give the Yankees some insurance. The outfielder went 3-for-4 and is now 20 for his last (47)TK with four home runs and 14 RBIs. 

4) Austin Romine has continued to fill in admirably in Gary Sanchez's absence. The backup catcher hit a home run in the third inning and is hitting .363 with three home runs and eight RBIs since July 23. 

5) Brett Gardner, who also homered in the fifth, went 3-for-4 and scored three runs. He is 7-for-15 since returning to the lineup from the IL. 

6) The Yankees had trouble getting Villar out all night. The Orioles' shortstop hit for the cycle on Monday, going 4-for-5 with two runs score and two RBIs.

The Yankees are back in Baltimore on Tuesday but have not decided on a starting pitcher. The Orioles will send RHP Asher Wojciechowski (2-4, 4.14 ERA) to the mound for the 7:05 p.m. start at Camden Yards.
