Though the Yankees traded for Mariners LHP James Paxton on Monday, they remain interested in signing another pitcher through free agency, according to SNY.tv's Andy Martino.

The Yankees are still looking to pursue LHPs Patrick Corbin and J.A. Happ, according to Martino and Fox Sports' Jon Morosi.

New York dealt top prospect Justus Sheffield and two other minor leaguers to Seattle to acquire the 30-year-old Paxton, who went 11-6 with a 3.76 ERA in 28 starts for the Mariners in 2018.

But the Yankees are still looking to shore up their rotation with another big name.

"I can't predict what's going to happen as we move forward, other than the fact that we need to fill some needs," Yankees GM Brian Cashman said on Monday, according to the Bergen Record's Pete Caldera.

There's Corbin, 29, who went 11-7 with a 3.15 ERA and 1.05 WHIP while striking out a career-high 246 batters in 33 starts (200 innings) for the Diamondbacks this year. And Happ, who went 17-6 with a 3.65 ERA and 1.13 WHIP while striking out 193 batters in 31 starts (177.2 innings), found success with New York, with a 2.69 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 11 starts as a Yankee.

The free-agent market also includes Nathan Eovaldi and Dallas Keuchel, among others.

As it stands, the Yankees' rotation consists of Paxton, Luis Severino, Masahiro Tanaka and CC Sabathia.
