It was an absolute laser that left the bat at 114 mph and had a projected distance of 461 feet. ...Aaron Boone gave multiple updates on injured Yanks before the game, saying Giancarlo Stanton is close to facing live pitching and Didi Gregorius is expected back in the lineup on Friday.

LHP Justus Sheffield (6.43 ERA), who is making his third start of the season for Seattle. His last came on Aug. 23 where he allowed three runs on seven hits over four innings.

Sheffield was once the Yankees' top pitching prospect until he was traded to the Mariners in exchange for Paxton. So this matchup will be interesting to watch to see if Sheffield will come out firing against his former team.

Upcoming schedule
