What injuries?

Those two words could serve as the Yankees' mantra season thus far.

The list goes on and on when you look at the key components featured in this powerhouse lineup that have hit the IL. Currently, players like Edwin Encarnacion, Aaron Hicks, CC Sabathia, Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit and Gary Sanchez sit on the 10-day IL, while the likes of Miguel Andujar, Greg Bird, Dellin Betances, and Luis Severino are on the 60-day list.

Needless to say, the Yankees have needed resilience to battle through this adversity. A four-game sweep of the Red Sox in the Bronx this past weekend was just the latest example of that.

The Yankees lineup, which featured players like Mike Ford, Mike Tauchman, and Kyle Higashioka, delivered a 7-4 win to complete the sweep on Sunday night. A six-run third inning helped the Yankees take the lead early, and they didn't relinquish it, as they continued to bury their most-hated rival in the AL East and playoff standings as a whole.

But, of course, the Yankees couldn't leave the game without an injury scare. Gleyber Torres was taken out in the top of the eighth inning with what manager Aaron Boone called a "core issue." And while it sounds like Torres will be fine (thanks to an update from his father on Twitter), the thought of losing another player to the injury bug hasn't brought the spirits down of this club.

They're used to it by now.

"We said, 'Hey, everyone in this room could get used,'" Judge told The Athletic's Lindsey Adler. "It doesn't matter if it's April, September, whenever. Everyone can play a part on this team at some point, and just be ready for your opportunities.

"To see not just one guy step up, but another guy and another guy and another guy? Everyone's really rallied around that."

One of those guys that has stepped up tremendously is Gio Urshela, a player that many probably didn't no played in the bigs last season. Last night, his homer off David Price was the latest clutch hit that he's had, one that started that six-run inning. Urshela's solid bat and stellar defense has been a crucial piece in keeping the Yankees afloat throughout their injury woes.

Cameron Maybin, someone the Yankees brought in as their outfield was diminishing by the week it seemed, has also stuck around because of the immediate success he's had. In 49 games, he has a .312/.394/.496 slash line with five homers and 19 RBI. He roped a double in that third inning last night as well to tack onto the lead.

"We do a good job in here of allowing guys to be themselves when they get here," Maybin said.

That, in itself, isn't something Maybin has been used to in his career.

"Back when I was coming up, it was hard for young guys to be themselves because there were so many veteran guys - who I think the way they got treated was hard - and so they were hard on the rookies," Maybin explained. "You couldn't really be yourself, so I think it's a testament to the atmosphere in this locker room. Hey, be yourself. We're trying to win games. If you've got a little flair or a little flash or you're real quiet and businesslike, just be you. That's what makes this such a special group."

For those minor-leaguers coming up looking to make an impact from the jump, that's always a great environment to be in. Also, that savage mentality that Boone made famous during his ejection tirade a few weeks back as been embraced by this squad.

The Yankees have had their backs pushed up against the wall more times than any team would ever want during a full season. But even with 51 games left to play, they won't sweat it.

"I think it's not just brought a level of physical toughness to the room, but it's forced guys to be mentally tough as well," Boone said. "I think it's part of the hunger that exists with those guys because they have the mindset that nothing's gonna get in my way, and nothing's gonna stop us."

Celebrating their sweep in the clubhouse after the game, the Yankees were blasting "More Than A Feeling" by the classic rock band Boston over the speaker. Classic trolling.

But that just shows the confidence the Yankees have at the moment. And even though some of their most prized sluggers and arms weren't there to celebrate alongside them, they got ready for their trip to Baltimore to face the Orioles with the mindset of collecting another sweep.

No matter how star-studded the lineup is.
