Another Yankee has made their way to the Injured List.

The team announced on Sunday that Aaron Hicks hit the 10-day IL with a right flexor strain. Hicks will be shut down from throwing over the next week or so, while the Yankees are happy he won't need Tommy John surgery. That was an initial thought by the team, but Yahoo!'s Mike Mazzeo said it has been ruled out.

Hicks was said to be going for an MRI after he suffered an injury in the eighth inning during Saturday's game. The injury occurred during a throw Hicks made in the sixth inning from center field, as he tried to keep a runner at second base.

Hicks wasn't the only Yankee injured on Saturday. He now joins Edwin Encarnacion on the IL, as he suffered a "hairline fracture" in his right wrist. His recovery time could range from three to five weeks.

The Yankees continue to have a long IL, with the likes of Giancarlo Stanton, Gary Sanchez, Luke Voit, CC Sabathia, and others also still working their way back from injury. Hicks has already spent some time on the IL this season, with a back issue existing in the beginning of the season.

Over 59 games this season, Hicks owns a .235/325/.443 slash line with 12 homers and 36 RBI.
