Former Yankees starter CC Sabathia has already voiced his frustration about the Astros sign-stealing scandal earlier this week. But, in the latest edition of his R2C2 podcast with Ryan Ruocco, he took it a few steps further.
Sabathia didn't hold back how he felt this time, using all of his vocabulary to express his emotions about how he believes the Yankees should have won a 28th title.

"F--king '17 we should have won the World Series. I don't care what nobody says. And now that this happened, nobody can ever f--king tell me that we wasn't gonna win it," Sabathia yelled into his mic.
Sabathia appeared on Showtime's Inside the NFL on Tuesday, when he said he felt cheated after finding out exactly what the Astros did, especially during the 2017 season when they were one game away from a World Series berth. But given that it was a TV appearance, he was a bit more tame.
In that ALCS series, every game was won by the home team, including Game 7 with Sabathia on the mound. He pitched admirably, allowing only one run over 3.1 innings. However, the Astros blew it open in the bottom of the fifth to make it 4-0, which was the final score in the end.
"The games there were so close. One run, one hit, one f--king sign!" Sabathia said.
"We had magic and they stole that s--t from us."
At the time, Sabathia said he "cried like a baby," but eventually got over it as he would any tough loss. With the truth coming to light on the sign-stealing scandal -- which saw Astros manager A.J. Hinch and GM Jeff Luhnow suspended by MLB and fired by Houston, as well as Alex Cora fired by the Red Sox as he awaits his punishment -- all the emotions have returned for the man that just called it quits after the 2019 season.
"I felt it man, and I had got over it," he said. "Let it go, got over it and maybe like I was trippin', they were a better team. They won, they beat us. And then this came back and now I feel it again. I'm pissed!
"I just felt that s--t in my bone. I knew that team in '17 was good enough to win the World Series."
